Pongo and Songo are two watermelons. One is fat and the other is thin. They want to cross the mountain to get to the other side where it’s dry. Halfway there, they split up, going their separate ways. Will they both be able to make it to their destination?
The theme of the story is “the battle of bravery and acceptance.” Through reading this story, children are able to learn about qualities such as responsiveness, bravery and aspiration as they relate to life strengthening.
